Partnership working

Pierhead understands that we can not address the needs of a community in isolation. This is why some of our most important schemes are achieved in conjunction with other specialist agencies, local community groups and local authorities.

In Bootle, we worked with our local residents’ association to find a solution to the problem that an abandoned play area caused, attracting local youths and associated anti social behaviour. The land has since been turned into six bungalows for the elderly which are connected to our sheltered scheme.

In Dovecot, we worked tirelessly for many years with the local shopkeepers, local community and local authority to reverse the decline that had taken place at Dovecot Parade and secure the future of the shopping area.

Additionally, we work closely with local agencies including Imagine, Merseyside Accommodation Project, First Base and Wirral MIND. Through these groups, we are able to provide support and housing for vulnerable people in the region, often giving them their first experience of independent living.
