Further Funding Secured for Pierhead Developments 25-5-2007
Merseyside's Pierhead Housing Association ("Pierhead") has secured an additional £11m of funding for new developments by restructuring its lending facilities with the Housing Finance team at Bank of Scotland Corporate. This new loan will increase the Association's total facilities with the Bank to £21m.
Malcolm and Julie Greham are delighted to have received the keys to their new home in Bedford Road, Bootle. Their house was part of a £506,000 scheme by Pierhead Housing Association, which saw four houses which were used as flats, returned to spacious modern family homes to assist Sefton Council with its decanting programme.
Following the increase in house prices it is difficult for key workers such as doctors and nursing staff to find affordable, high quality housing. Pierhead Housing Association has been working in partnership with the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust to redevelop its staff accommodation to bring it up to new NHS standards.
Pierhead has recently completed a scheme of high quality apartments for sale through shared ownership in Bath Street, a popular residential area of Southport, close to Lord Street and the promenade.
