Getting involved We are keen for our tenants to contribute to the way that Pierhead is run, and encourage our tenants to provide us with feedback about our services. As part of this commitment to customer involvement, we have a dedicated member of staff who deals with Tenant Participation who is on hand to answer any queries that you may have about becoming involved. There are a number of different ways in which you can get involved with our work. If you don’t have much time to spare, or don’t want to become so involved, you can attend our Tenants’ Conference, which is held once every two years in the Autumn. The Tenants’ Conference offers you the opportunity to come and meet other tenants and take part in training taster sessions, and find out more about the work of the Association. Alternatively, you could become a member of our Focus Group which meets approximately once every three months to discuss a particular aspect of service delivery, in addition to regular telephone and postal surveys. If you are interested in becoming more involved, you could join the Association’s Tenants’ Forum, or set up your own Residents’ Association. We support Residents’ Association and give help with things such as typing leaflets and photocopying. We can also give grants to Tenants Associations in most cases to help them get started and provide training for Tenants Reps to help them in their new role. Pierhead’s Committee of Management also has two tenant representatives
who are chosen by the Tenants’ Forum and re-elected once every
two years. |
